Dentures in Riverside, CA

Not all of us are lucky enough to keep a full set of natural teeth. Dentures offer an affordable solution for patients in need of a new smile.

Should I get dentures?

Whether it’s due to the natural aging process or dental decay, most people will likely need to consider tooth replacement options eventually. There are many options when it comes to restoring your teeth and the right choice for you will depend on your budget, lifestyle, and aesthetic goals. However, if you are missing most of your natural teeth and are looking for a budget-friendly restorative treatment, dentures might be a great way to restore your smile. Most dentures are made of a metal and acrylic framework and are custom fit to sit comfortably over your gums. Patients can receive either partial or full dentures, depending on how many teeth they are looking to replace.

The Dental Fillings Treatment Process

IMPRESSIONS OR SCANS

After you’ve been approved for treatment, your dentist will create a custom treatment plan with you. Next, our team will take digital scans or impressions of your mouth. Those images will be sent out to the dental lab where they will begin crafting your prosthetic. Temporary dentures may also be provided to protect your gums while you wait for your final dentures to be made.

TOOTH EXTRACTION (IF NEEDED)

In some cases, extractions may be needed to make room for your new dentures. To begin, your dentist will numb your mouth and/or use sedation to ensure you stay comfortable throughout the procedure. After your extraction, it’s important that you get plenty of rest for at least 24 hours. Your dentist will provide detailed instructions that will help you remain comfortable and pain free while you heal.

FITTING AND ADJUSTMENTS

When your dentures are complete, you will return to the office to begin the fitting process. Adjustments can be made to ensure your dentures are as comfortable and functional as possible. Plan on returning to the office for yearly checkups on your dentures, but know that a set of dentures can last you up to 10 years if you take good care of them.
