
About Dr. Richie Tran
Dr. Richie Tran of TranscenDental Smiles is a Southern California native who realized early on in life, his dream of becoming a dentist to provide quality and compassionate dental care to make an impact in people’s lives.
Growing up, Dr. Tran experienced challenges with his own dental health due to lack of resources and limited oral health knowledge. Once he received the appropriate dental care, his overall quality of life drastically improved and within him sparked an interest in dentistry. From then on, dentistry became his passion and he was driven to become a dentist to help others in need as he once was.
Dr. Tran's philosophy on dentistry is compassionate, transparent, and patient-centered. He believes quality dental care should be accessible to people of all walks of life and he carries this value in the way he provides genuine care to each and every one of his patients. He loves getting to know patients and building lasting relationships with them. He strives to make them feel comfortable, valued, and cared for like they are family. His goal is to always provide honest guidance on their unique dental care needs and to contribute to their overall health and well-being.

Dr. Tran received his Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from UC Irvine, his Master’s degree in Science at Midwestern University of Arizona, and his Doctorate of Dental Medicine at Midwestern University of Illinois. After dental school, he was accepted into UC San Francisco's rigorous residency program where he refined expertises in cosmetic restorations, porcelain crowns, implants, extractions, surgery, dentures, and root canals.
Dr. Tran is a member of the California Dental Association, the American Dental Association, the Tri-County Dental Society, and a selected member of a committee of like-minded dentists in Riverside/Corona to study the various advancements and continuing education in the dental industry.
When he is not working on dentistry, he loves to cook for his wife and their two young sons, and explore parks and museums together.
